Marco was born in the mountains north of Montreal a long time ago. He has a funny last name – you have to think of Chianti to pronounce it correctly, but he’s very proud of it.
Bored of fashion design after about ten years, he went on to become an editor and proofreader to pursue his dream to live closer to the world of letters.
When he almost fainted after seeing a calligraphy studio in the streets of Montreal, he knew that’s how he would feed his passion for letters. He served as the president of La Société des calligraphes de Montréal and was a member of the Montreal-based contemporary calligraphy collective Les Calmars.
He can stare at Roman capitals for hours and has way too much paper at home but even more blank notebooks.
